I've opened Mach Desktop and there's no icon in the Dock, what's going on here?

No icon appears in the Dock for Mach Desktop. Instead of that, a desktop icon shows up in the Status Bar near the top-right of the screen. Click on this to bring up a menu, in which you can start/stop the desktop animation, customize preferences, and quit Mach Desktop.

Why can't I paste a command into the Desklet command text field?

Since Mach Desktop is a "faceless" app, normal keyboard combinations aren't available. You can, however, right-click on the text field and choose "Paste."

Where can I get those cool white icons used in the screenshots?

The next time you're at a YouTube HD video, simply click on the button in the Bookmarks Bar. A button will appear on the YouTube page allowing you to download the HD video.
